I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my mom has a severe weakness for bags. She has bags for everything – she’s even been known to carry a bag inside a bag! Now that’s just crazy! So when I spotted these fun dog inspired handbags from Rebecca Ray Design I just knew I had to hide them from my mom. And the fact that they are having a spring sale….yeah, my mom shouldn’t be allowed to read this….

Toys! It’s one of my favorite subjects, and when you’re a dog you can never have enough of them! Since I have quite a few things to play with around the house, mom is constantly combating my clutter by putting my toys into baskets and totes.

I like to think I’m a pretty stylish guy, so when it comes to storing my toys I don’t just settle for any old basket. My most recent stylish purchases have come from the Land of Nod.

Not only are they fun to look at, but since they are soft I don’t have to worry about injuring my neck when getting out my favorite toys.

Of course my toys looked like they were having lots of fun in my new baskets, so I couldn’t just stand by and let them have all the fun!

Friday Fetch: DIY Dog Tote Bag

Ok, I totally love that I get to go pretty much EVERYWHERE with my mom. But wouldn’t it be super fabulous if I could ride around in one of these!

Transform a canvas tote into a “doggie bag.” A U-shape cutout lets your small pooch enjoy the scenery. To make it, use sharp fabric shears to cut a dip into the side of the tote. The depth and width of the U shape will depend on the size of your dog’s head, but be sure to leave at least half an inch between the opening and the bag’s handles. Cut cotton webbing long enough to cover the U shape. Fold webbing over the raw edge, and use a sturdy needle to hand-stitch it to the opening.
