Even thought Christmas has come and gone, I haven’t forgotten about sharing just what sort of adventures I went on during my holiday break! So here’s my fun recap of all things Christmasy…
My Christmas eve started off pretty uneventful, as I still had to fulfill my shop dog duties for all the customers that needed to pick up their picture framing.
But eventually it was time to head over to Trooper’s house at the farm so that I could celebrate with him and my extended family.
I got busy right away helping to clean up around the kitchen. (apparently Trooper is slacking on his floor licking duties).
But elsewhere, the tree decorating fun was well underway! (and let’s be honest, my 6 foot 3 Uncle Taylor was much more suited for putting the angel on top than short little me)
The rest of the night consisted of gift giving, sock stealing (on Trooper’s part), good times with my family, and maybe just a few naps too. Before I knew it, it was time to head home so that Santa could bring me some presents!
When I woke on Christmas morning I was so excited! Honestly, I wasn’t sure if Santa would bring me anything after I caught that bunny in the backyard, and got on the dining room table to steal food (oops). But I guess my “goodness” outweighed the bad this year, because he brought me lots of fun presents!
From a December Barkbox filled with fun treats and toys….
My favorite new toy though, the Bouncing Squirrel Tail mom and dad bought me from the Barkshop! (you can snag one for your pup from the Barkshop with code AMMO for a FREE PRIZE at checkout). I’ve been having a blast with my new toy over the past few weeks!
Christmas is always an exciting whirlwind, and just as things were winding down mom and dad said we had to get ready to go to my MomMom & PopPop’s house.
I always love going to MomMom & PopPop’s house, because without fail, PopPop always manages to “drop” food on the floor. 😉
There was also plenty of time for more gift giving and playing with my cousins too (who coincidently also LOVED my new Bouncing Squirrel Tail too).
Christmas with my family is always a special time. Despite my excitement about all the gifts and food, my very favorite part is getting to be with the one’s I love.
Of course if you know me and my family, then you know that even though Christmas was over, the fun never stops at my house. The day after Christmas I was hitting the hiking trail with more of my family! After all, we had to burn off all those Christmas dinner calories we had the day before!
I’m already counting down the days until next Christmas! What sort of fun did you have for the holiday?
Disclosure: This post and giveaway is brought to you by Stardust Prints. All opinions are my own and I only share products that I think you and your pets will love.
Even though Thanksgiving hasn’t quite arrived yet, we all have the next big holiday on our minds, Christmas!
And as much as you don’t want to admit it, I know you’re all looking forward to one thing…..THE PRESENTS! (well and maybe all the holiday snacks too).
Since I love presents about as much as I love rolling in stink on the farm (and that’s a lot!), I’m so excited to share with you Stardust Prints! They’re an online shop that can help you “Unwrap Imagination” by creating your very own custom gift wrap.
See, if you look a little closer, you’ll notice that cute little dachshund in a Santa hat on my gift wrap is me!! How cool is that?
At Stardust prints you can upload your own photo and have it turned into wrapping paper!
Since Christmas is almost here, and I’ve got lots of goodies to wrap up for all my dog friends, I decided to use a photo of me from last year in my Santa hat. (but you can use any photo, even one that has a distracting background)
Then you can choose a wrapping paper design from Stardust Prints. They have several to choose from, and not just Christmas themed ones either.
I decided to go with the Hot Choc pattern, if only because it had an awesome polar bear on it!
Then the folks at Stardust Prints cuts the star of your photo (that’s me of course) out of it’s background, add it to your wrapping paper design, and mail you a 24 x 72-inch roll, which is enough to wrap 3-5 presents.
When it arrived it was almost too cute to unwrap….but that didn’t really stop me from sinking my teeth in!
Well that is until mom informed me that there would be no unwrapping of gifts until December 25th. Boohoo!
If you’d like to snag some of this super fun customizable gift wrap for all your friends this season, be sure to visit Stardust Prints!
And now for the best part….

As you know on Sunday I celebrated my 6th Birthday by attending the Yuengling Oktoberfest Dachshund Races. Well when I go home later that day I got to do my very favorite part of Birthdays…..opening my presents!
I’m such a lucky dog to have so many presents to open, some from my mom and dad and some from some very sweet businesses!
I’m pretty much an expert at unwrapping gifts……my skills even landed me in a google commercial a few christmases ago! Check out how fast I am at unwrapping my gifts in the video below.
Grandma Lucy’s Treats smelled delicious and even looked like cute little teddy grahams. Full disclosure here, my dad thought they smelled so good that he tried them himself – and considering the ingredients are human grade, and made with no By-Products, no artificial sweeteners, colors or flavors, I’m not surprised that he found them very tasty.
But sorry dad, I don’t plan on sharing – you’ll just have to snag your own from Chewy.com.
My new friends over at My Fabulous Puppy also sent me one of their handmade sweaters. It’s cute and snuggly and perfect for fall!
So thanks to everyone who made my Birthday extra special – I can’t believe I have to wait another whole YEAR before I can celebrate again!
Disclosure: I received a product from Chewy.com in exchange for a review, but all opinions are entirely my own.
The Christmas festivities have come and gone, but I’m still reminiscing about all the fun I had with friends and family.
I kicked off the festivities on Christmas eve with a trip to Trooper’s house!
Trooper and I had a blast opening gifts with our family, and I even gifted Trooper a new reflective vest and collar to wear during hunting season on the farm.
Between the both of us we opened up some fun new toys like this Pickle for Trooper and a new Kong toy for me. Needless to say I confiscated both of them….for testing purposes of course!
Christmas eve of course wasn’t complete until we got a little snow! Just what I needed before I put on my pj’s and dreamed of elves and the jolly old fat man!
Before I could see what Santa brought me on Christmas morning I headed out to the farm to take care of my ponies, and I had fun watching them open their new toy from Santa!
Then it was back home to open my own presents under the tree!
Santa must have thought I was a really good boy this year (and don’t you tell him otherwise), because I got so many goodies I hardly knew what to play with first!
But before I had a chance to play with much of anything it was off to my mom-mom and pop-pop’s house to have Christmas with my cousins!
My cousins were very nice to share most of their toys with me, although I was much more excited to get home to my own toys than playing Skylanders.
Although my cousins did gift me this fun new duck toy, which I had a blast tearing into!
I bet you are wondering just what I got for Christmas right?
Well one of my very favorite toys was a stuffed cup of hot chocolate that my mom and dad picked up for a couple bucks from goodwill….
It doesn’t take much to make this dog happy!
I also got the new Planet Dog Snoop Toy (one of my current favorite toys, and thus far indestructible!), KONG Starpod (I already broke a hole in this one!), a Bumble Ball (which I must admit I’m a little scared of as it vibrates!), a Ruffwear Lunker Toy (which I can’t wait to try out it’s floating capabilities at the lake this summer) and several bags of cookies!
Dad also got me a new stand for my photo backdrops, yippee!
By the end of the day I was pretty exhausted! But I had a wonderful Christmas with the people (and animals) I love!
When Easter morning arrived Mr. Bunny had left a basket of goodies just for me!
Watch the proof below:
Of course I wasted no time in digging into my goodies, thanks so much Bunny, they were lovely!
I may have strutted around the house for quite some time just showing off my new toys.
Later on my family came to spend the day with me (even by bestest pal Trooper was there) and I enjoyed seeing everyone.
It rained a bit on Easter, so I kindly offered up my dog training facilities in the basement so that my cousins could have their annual Easter egg hunt.
I’m pretty sure I had the most eggs when everything was all said and done. (It’s because of my lightning fast speed!)
At the end of the day though, I come for one thing and one thing only…..the HAM! And I have to say it was DELISH!
I hope everyone had a nice Easter with their friends and family, and I’m already looking forward to next year, but it’s far to long to wait for more ham if I do say so myself!
P.S. Thanks to everyone who shared their dogs in their Easter Bowties on my Facebook Page. I loved seeing all those happy dogs in their Easter wear after following my tutorial!
Last week I celebrated the hallmark holiday (v-day) at home with my family. Curled up on the couch, with a small token gift or two, it was the perfect way to celebrate the day!
I gave out tons of free kisses, and mom and dad got me a few small items to show how much they care.
This year when Christmas morning arrived, so did the snow! I awoke to a blanket of snow in my backyard….it was glorious!
After taking a romp in the newly fallen snow I set to work unwrapping all of my gifts!
Santa must of known that I’ve been a very good boy, because he brought me lots of goodies this year.
One of my favorite gifts this year was an add-on for my agility poles so that I can practice indoors too! Santa knows me so well!
So after diving into all my presents at home, we loaded up the car and headed over to Trooper’s house for some more Christmas fun.
I dressed for the occasion in my Holiday tie!
Trooper said I made him feel very under dressed.
Even my new cousin Jack joined us for some fun during the holidays – although he was smart and staked out the best spot on the couch before we started opening gifts.
We opened so many gifts at Trooper’s house, that Trooper fell asleep with all his new toys in his mouth. He just doesn’t know how to hang.
After the party at Trooper’s we loaded up the car again and headed to my MomMom & PopPop’s house so that I could give my human cousins some gifts too!
My cousin Maddie got a pony for Christmas, which she promptly named Ammo. I’m not sure if I should be flattered or insulted?
When we finally arrived back home late that night, mom said I had to put all my new toys away in the new toy baskets Santa had brought me.
I figured Santa would want me to enjoy my gifts to the fullest, so I snuggled up for the night inside one of my toy bins. Morning couldn’t come soon enough!
Here’s a round-up of what goodies I got this year:
I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, getting to take some time off work and spend time with the one’s I love was just what I needed after a busy Holiday season at mom’s shop. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday as well!
A long overdue post, I bet you guys are wondering what exciting things I did on my day of birth (October 5th). And more importantly, what goodies did Mom and Dad get me?
When it comes to presents, I’m an unwrapping fool! I can unwrap a present faster than you can blink – a glorious achievement!
After the chaos ensued, I was left with some lovely Birthday gifts from my very generous parents.
It was a very happy day.
My Birthday bounty included a new collar from Mattie & Margot, a lime green hand-knitted sweater from By Chance Designs, a jar of Pet Fair Noshers to fill my toys, a toy and bag of cookies from my bestest friend Trooper, and a Kicker Box.
I felt like the luckiest boy in the World! And after a little bit of celebratory barking, mom agreed to let me test out my new Kicker Box.
The Kicker Box is a toy designed to challenge a dog, and get them thinking as they try to figure out how to get the treats out of the box by moving the nobs from side to side and up and down. And after about 5 minutes, I knew why they called it a kicker box…..
….because I wanted to kick that dang box to the curb! Seriously, all I wanted was my cookies and this box was keeping them all to himself. This must have been some sort of cruel joke.
But since I’m a pretty smart guy, I eventually figured out how to move the nobs and release my treats. It’s still a cruel joke is you ask me though!
My 4th Birthday was loads of fun, and I’m so glad I got to celebrate it all week with all my friends. Now begins my countdown to Christmas, when I get to open all my presents from Santa! Yay!
Disclosure: I was not paid or perked to write about any of these products. I simply wanted to share all the goodies I got for my Birthday!
Yesterday you heard about my trip to the farm on Christmas morning and today I’m going to show you what Santa brought me for Christmas. After heading home from the farm I dove head first into my presents!
If you didn’t already know, I’m a skilled present unwrap-per. It’s a gift really.
Just check out this fun video of me unwrapping my presents on Christmas morning:
The aftermath always looks a little something like this.
But boy did I get a whole bunch of fabulous gifts!
Santa brought me a super fun stuffie toy that looked just like himself, and I also got this super fun bowtie from Silly Buddy (hi Buddy!). Mom and Dad bought me some new dog bowls from Garnet Hill and some all natural dog treats from a cool bakery in New York called Bocce’s Bakery. And lastly I got gifted an awesome gift card to Yellow Brick Home, so that I can get a portrait of ME! How fun!
But my Christmas Adventure didn’t stop there. Next I was headed over to Trooper’s house, where Trooper let me play with all his new Christmas presents.
I even gifted Trooper a batch of dog cookies and my mom and dad got him a custom portrait from Yellow Brick Home too!
Eventually I made my way over to mom mom’s house where I got to watch all my cousins open their Christmas gifts.
I might have helped some with the unwrapping…
….and eventually I ended up more festive looking than when I arrived!
As you can imagine, I passed out in the car on the way home. This much Christmas excitement really wears a boy out! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. Now I’ve got to rest up…..because this weekend is NEW YEARS! Woohoo!
