So I hear that this weekend is Valentine’s Day. A day to spend time with those that you love, and show them that you care.
So when I got wind that my old fling, Amira, was back in town I knew I was going to have to do something special on February 14th.

What will you be getting your valentine this year?
Just in time for Valentine’s Day I have a simple and easy DIY that your dog is going to love! My DIY Flirt Pole is an interactive dog toy that entices your dog to chase a fast moving lure. The Flirt Pole is quickly becoming my absolute favorite toy to play with. It’s also a great way to exercise high-energy dogs – and if you have been snowed in for as long as I have this is a must!

Supplies:
Step One: If you want your flirt pole to be extra colorful you may want to paint it. I painted mine to have a silvery finish.
Step Two: Once your paint is dry twist a screw eye into one end of it.
Step Three: Cut your fleece into two 25″ x 5″ strips. Alternatively you could also use an old stuffed toy that your dog loves as well.
Step Four: Tie your rope around the middle of your fleece strips.
Step Five: Braid the ends of your fleece and tie it in a knot at the bottom.
Step Six: Tie the other end of your rope to the screw eye on your dowel. You’re now ready to have a blast playing with your dog!
If you make your dog one toy this year, this should be it. I seriously don’t know how I lived without one for so long!
A few weeks ago I announced the launch of new notepads and fun little doxie pens in my shop, which you can see HERE. Well, mom and I decided why have only two designs when you can have three!
So with a little inspiration from yours truly, we came up with the Hot Dog notepad!
Mom drew the little hot dog shape, which by the way looks so so yummy!
Even the little doxie pen looks oh so fun to play with, but I’m still perplexed at how he can snap in half like that!
