We can all admit that one of the greatest things about having a Birthday is the presents! So I’ve rounded up a few of my current Birthday Wish List items to share with you!
Turquoise Flexi Lead from Chewy.com (which I only plan to use when I go to the lake and want to go swimming & mom and dad don’t. Otherwise I believe using standard leashes are a much safer option!)
Welcome to Birthday Week! Each year I celebrate my Birthday, which is on October 5th, during the first week in October! This year I will be turning 5 and I figured there was no better way to start off the Birthday Week celebration then to giveaway some goodies to all my fans!
So I rounded up some of my favorite Dachshund Prints to giveaway to two lucky readers!
First up we have a lovely Dachshund Sleep Study Print by Kimmy Hogan from White with Three! Modeled after her own mini dachshund, Rio, this sleep study documents 8 of the many contortions that us doxies love to sleep in.
My mom helped me custom frame my own dachshund sleep study, and now it’s happily hanging on my office wall!
Next we have a cute dachshund print by Debbie Sampson! You might remember I shared my own custom framed print by Debbie a few months ago, which is now hanging in my office at home!
And now for your chance to win some happy dog art for your own walls!
TWO Lucky winners will receive one of the Dachshund Art Prints Above.
Here’s HOW TO WIN:
For this giveaway we will be using Rafflecopter. We only use this information to contact the winner and we never share it – so not to worry. Two winners will be chosen at random and you will be contacted via e-mail to claim your prize. All the winners will also be announced on this blog post once the giveaway ends. Open to US Residents Only. Winners must claim their prizes within 48 hours of being notified or prize will be forfeited. Good luck! **Art Prints do not come custom framed, but if you are in need of framing, make sure you check out my mom’s shop!
The TooferMe Multifunctional Dog Leash is a kickstarter funded project for a dog leash that claims to do it all. Need a harness, no problem. Need to walk two dogs or more at once, no problem. Need to tie up your dog, no problem.
Check out the video below to see just how this leash works:
You can fetch your own TooferMe Leash for about $29.
Some of you have already noticed this sign-up box for a mailing list on my contact page. Well behind the scenes I’ve been working on creating my own little monthly e-mail of sorts.
I’m sure it will evolve over time, but I plan to send out a monthly e-mail with some of my favorite blog posts, perhaps some unseen photos (of me of course), new products in my online shop, and discounts!
So if you don’t want to miss a thing, and can’t get enough of me, make sure you sign up! And don’t worry, I’ll never share your e-mail with anyone else – and I promise not to send you e-mails ALL THE TIME (like some big box retailers I know)! And you can always opt out at anytime if you so choose.
This is my sunroom, my favorite room in the whole house. (Don’t mind the easter eggs and the snow outside – this was taken earlier this year). I spend a lot of time in here, since it’s got the best view! See that ottoman in the middle, well I also spend a lot of time on that sunbathing. Which is also the reason why mom decided that the fabric needed to be changed (on account of my “sometimes” muddy paws).
Now I’m no stranger to furniture restorations, I’ve helped mom repaint chairs, and dressers – but this would be my first fabric recover!
So mom broke out the tools, but that’s not really how this Dachshund rolls – especially when you have some built-in tools of your own…..
And thanks to me, about an hour later I was looking at my brand-new ottoman!
Covered with a charcoal grey sunbrella fabric, mom says it’s designed to take a bit more of a beating than what was previously on it.
As long as these paws are still allowed on the furniture than it’s A-OK with me!
Disclaimer: This review and giveaway is brought to you by Kong Premium Treats.
You might remember that a couple of months ago I got to test out the new line of Kong Premium Treats, which were oh so yummy. Well now they have released a new batch of goodies, and of course I couldn’t wait to get my paws on them too!
Kong Pumpkin Stix
No Wheat, Corn or Soy
No Animal By-Products
No Harmful Preservatives or Colorants
Contains Vitamins and Minerals
These treats were soft, and great for stuffing into one of the kong toys I already owned. I think the Pumpkin Stix were my favorite of the Kong Premium Treats that I got to test out.
Kong American Chicken Tenders
Made in USA
All Natural
No Fillers
No Additives
These were a tougher chew that was much larger – but that didn’t stop me from chowing down!
Kong Double Rawhide Chews
100% U.S. Beef Hide (Processed in Mexico)
No Harmful Preservatives
Helps Clean Teeth and Freshen Breath
Great Tasting and Long Lasting
These rawhide chews were definitely longer lasting, so if you have a dog that you need to keep occupied, then these are the treats for you. They might be better suited for a larger dog though, and always make sure you supervise your dog when giving them rawhides as they can sometimes be a choking hazard.
Below is a video of Trooper and I chowing down on these delicious Kong Premium Treats. Being taste testers is the best!
And now for your chance to do your very own taste test!
THREE Lucky winners will receive 1 package ofDouble Chews, 1 package of American Chicken Tenders, and 1 package of Pumpkin Stix.

Instagram is by far one of my mom’s (and mine) favorite apps. It’s a way for me to share a tiny little glimpse into everyday life, whether that be running around on the farm, napping at work, or going on a fabulous adventure. So for those of you that don’t already follow me on Instagram, here’s a little peek into my everyday life:
Dog for Dog is a company I can get behind because their motto is Feed Your Dog – Feed a Dog in Need.
At DOG for DOG, we give love to every dog we come across. And every time you purchase our dog food and treats, we donate a like item to a dog in need. It’s that simple: when you buy one, we give one.
With tasty treats like Dog Bars, Peanut Butter that helps your skin and coat, treats and more – I’m totally on board!
You can fetch your own Dog for Dog Products, and help a rescue dog in need!
With fall rolling in I took my first annual trip of the season to Highland Orchards.
I love sniffing the goats at the orchard, but truth be told, I’m quite happy that there is a fence between us at all times. Safety first!
But the real treat this time was that mom’s first cousin once removed (whatever that means) tagged along with us.
Kids are good for one thing in a dog’s world…..and that’s dropping food!
You can bet I warned Mr. Goat that any food dropped was mine, and mine alone. Don’t worry though, I was very friendly and wagged my tail when I told him. I’m pretty sure he got the message.
What kind of adventures will you be going on this fall?
Over the weekend I found myself on an obstacle course at the family farm. Designed to test the horseback riders’ ability to navigate a scary and complex course, I was excited to see how what kind of reaction my obstacles would produce.
When it became clear that not much seemed to worry these horse and rider pairs, I tried to up the anti by enlisting the help of a few groundhogs I know. Unfortunately they weren’t home at the time.
With the competition fierce I employed one last tactic…..creating an obstacle of my own!
