My family and I had quite a whirlwind weekend – with an extra day off for both mom and dad we always find time to fit in even more fun!
So what did you do with your extra day?

On this Memorial Day I am remembering the fallen soldiers who have fought for my country. Thanks to those who have given their lives to protect us, and not to forget the many four-legged soldiers as well.
Thank you for keeping us safe.
xoxo,
Today is my best friend Trooper’s 6th Birthday!
Trooper has been by my side since I was just a wee pup. He taught me everything I know, and protected me when I was too tiny to do so myself. In the past 6 years we’ve had so many adventures, and I can’t wait for all the fun that is still yet to come!
So Happy Birthday best pal!
xoxo,
When it starts to get hot outside I start to do a lot more of this…..
Ahhh, summertime….

Recently mom picked up a new toy for me called the Pickle Pocket; after hearing some rave reviews from some of my dog agility classmates. Designed for treat dispensing, I was eager to give it a try, especially after I’ve mastered and broken many a treat dispensing toys including kongs and my kicker box (which is far too easy for me now).
My new pickle toy is different from many of the other treat dispensers I’ve tried. This one contains three lengthwise slits across the product which are meant to hold your dog’s favorite snack or kibble.
Mom has been experimenting stuffing it with lots of different things like string cheese, peanut butter, cookies, dog food, and even hot dogs.
I can honestly say that this toy takes a bit of work to get the yummies out. Five cookies takes me about 20 minutes to eat – and I’m an expert at treat dispensing!
The Pickle Pocket also boasts that it’s virtually indestructible (so far it’s survived my shark-like teeth), FDA approved, floats in water, and is dishwasher safe.
Even though this toys takes a bit of work on my part, I’m not complaining, because a constant flow of cookies is NEVER a problem!

On Monday nights there is a rodeo of sorts held in the heart of Amish Country – practically right outside my backdoor. Of course I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a trip to the Hillbrook Rodeo!
Tucked away in farm country this rodeo is open to riders of all ages – boasting barrel racing, pole bending, team penning, and various other speed sports. (For the non-horse enthusiast, it basically had cows and horses that like to run really really fast).
The team penning was pretty fun to watch, with the object being that three riders need to pick out three cows (all containing the same number on their sides) and separate them from their herd, putting them into a different pen. The Amish gals made it look easy – even while riding in a dress!
One of the little girls I met at the rodeo offered to lend me her pony so I could give team penning a try too.
Very tempting, considering that her miniature horse was JUST MY SIZE, but I had to take a pass this time.
After all, being a spectator was turning about to be way too much fun anyway.
The sights, sounds, and smells of the rodeo were grand, and you can bet I’ll be returning again this summer!
Now let’s giddy-up and ride!
As the weather gets even warmer I look forward to more nights out on the town with my mom and dad. Being a small dog means I can easily be taken lots of places, and outdoor dining is no exception.
Being a small dog also means I can easily fit under the table – which is the best place to be when you’re hoping for table scraps! Yum!
Check out one of my previous outdoor dining adventures HERE, where I met a pretty cute motorcycle babe!
The weather has warmed up quite a bit here in Pennsylvania, and it has me itching to get out and about with my mom and dad. Typically when it is nice out I love to go on long walks with my family, but this year I’ve been dying to go on a bike ride too! So I decided to round up some of my favorite bike baskets made just for dogs – so that your furry friend never has to be left home!

Any of my readers ride in a bike basket? Which brand do you use? Do tell!
Today I’m going under cover. Sometimes a dog just needs a little getaway.
Snuggled up in my favorite blankie – I’m relaxing today. No big adventures, no time for hunting bunnies in the backyard – just a day to catch up on my sleep!
ZzZzzzzzzz.
I may have talented paws (check out my original paintings HERE), but did you also know I have a talented nose? Oh yes, I’ve been working on my original “nose art” (seen above) for quite some time now.
It takes patience and some long long naps on the couch to perfect my technique – and the occasional bunny outside helps a bit too.
I’ve been working on this masterpiece for a couple of months now, and while it’s looking quite swell I know there is still more to add.
After all you can’t rush genius!
