Now that I’m a big brother it’s my duty to teach Baby P all the important stuff. #1 on the life lesson list, how to dig a proper hole.
As you can see, Baby P was super excited to learn this life lesson. That’s my girl, she totally gets it. You just never know when you’re going to need to dig something, so always come prepared with those two little shovels on the bottom of your arms!
Dirt filled baths, and dirty finger nails are totally in our future.
Up next, how to navigate to the critters in the woods. We’ve got a whole lot of life lessons to get through this summer, so we better get started!
What other life lessons do you think I should teach Baby P?
While it’s true that Baby P and I have already been on so many adventures together (I did after all take her on her very first 14 hour road trip), it wasn’t until fairly recently that she REALLY started taking an interest in me. Yes, she’s loved me from day 1, but now she actually plays with me!
I’m so excited to have a playmate, and I’m teaching her all of my favorite games (barking and tug of war mainly), just see for yourself:
I’m going to have to order her a super hero cape to match mine soon, because boy are we going to have lots of super things to do in our future together!
What do you think Baby P and I should do for our next adventure?
I like to think I’m a pretty fit dog. I mean I exercise regularly, I try to eat a healthy meal (aside from that 1/2 a hoagie I stole off the dining room table the other day….but that hardly counts), and I’m always ready for fun adventures!
So when I recently caught sight of the TV show, American Ninja Warrior, I was totally hooked! I mean I could EASILY get through those tough obstacle courses.
Half the battle is having flair anyway, and I totally have that covered!
Unfortunately American Ninja Warrior doesn’t accept dog submissions. But, that wasn’t going to stop me from having a little fun of my own, because I invented AMERICAN BARN WARRIOR….
Just as challenging, and with equal amounts of flair, American Barn Warrior is going to be the next big thing.
Hay Bale obstacles, trenches, and perhaps a horse or two….it’s not for the faint of heart (or those of you who didn’t eat your wheaties today!).
So what do you think, are you up for the challenge? Do you think you could master my American Barn Warrior Challenge?
A few weeks ago mom picked me out a new toy basket*.

Once I got over the initial confusion on it’s intended use (I mean it “could” double as a dog bed don’t you think)….it was time to test out it’s real function in holding my toys.
This is going to be a much bigger adjustment than I thought. Perhaps some new toys for my basket with help me with this big change… *wink*
Have you ever caught your dog on camera doing something goofy like me?

Trooper and I have always been really competitive. We compete for pretty much everything including treats, toys, dinner, and who gets to eat the cat food first!
Most of the time I win at everything (I’m a dachshund, I was born a wienner!), but every once in a while something comes along that Trooper puts up a little more of a fight for! Check out the video below for proof….
See these nylon dog bones have tiny little holes on them that allow them to be filled with your dog’s favorite soft spread like peanut butter, cream cheese and more.
Trooper certainly put up a good fight for this one, but as you saw in the video, us dachshunds always win!
Some people out there might think I’m a spoiled dog. While I’m not sure I totally agree, I can admit that I do enjoy some luxuries (which I knowingly imply sad puppy dog eyes to get mom and dad to oblige to)….
Spoiled or not, I’m never going to stop asking for back rubs from mom and dad! 😉

As a dog, the only real way I have to express myself is by barking. Sometimes I bark because I want something, sometimes I bark to protect my friends and family, and sometimes I bark just because I feel like it. (This is my barking face BTW, incase you were wondering).
So I thought it would be fun to share with you a compilation video my mom made over the past few months of me barking at things. Mom says sometimes my barking is cute, and sometimes she wishes I’d put a cork in it, but I’ll let you be the judge if it’s really that obnoxious…
So for those times that my barking gets a bit out of hand, mom has been using the humane anti-barking solution, Bark Solution (it’s that noisy little can you hear my mom shaking near the end of the video).
So if you’re looking for a way to humanely cut down on the amount of barking your dog does (without having to use harsh products or spending your day yelling at your dog), then you might want to check out Bark Solution. You can also purchase this product on Amazon.
Now for the best part….

While I wouldn’t necessarily say that Trooper and I are old just yet, we have grown up together over the past 7 years. One of my fondest memories is spending my working days at the shop with my best buddy and wrestling on the shop floor..
Fast forward about 6 years and I’m happy to report that not much has changed….
Something tells me we’ll never be too old to wrestle!
Does your dog still enjoy wrestling with their best doggy friend?
Over the weekend mom and dad decided to put together a new piece of furniture they purchased.
Of course as you know, I’m never one to not help out when there is a project at hand. So while mom and dad were busy assembling furniture in the other room, I decided to help disassemble the empty boxes for them.
Mom and dad had a good laugh when I was done “helping”, although I’m not sure why.
And I still don’t understand why I was immediately plopped outside after my box destroying duties. Sometimes my skills just aren’t appreciated around here.
So make sure the next time you have a box destroying need you give me a shout! I’m happy to go where my expertise is appreciated!
It wouldn’t be a shocker if I told you that my mom and dad have amassed thousands and thousands of pictures and video of me over the years. Sometimes those pictures and videos make it onto my blog, and sometimes they just sit on the computer – tiny little tidbits of my everyday life to look back on and smile.
I thought it would be fun to share some of those unseen tidbits. A little glimpse into what everyday life is for me, playing with my toys, greeting people at work, hanging out on the farm – even the mundane can make me appreciate how very lucky I am.
So enjoy this fun little compilation video made up of clips from the past week or two…
