Bubble Wrap = Fun. I’m pretty sure we can all agree with that!
Have you bubble wrapped today?

I bet you didn’t know I LOVE party balloons. Well it’s true, I thoroughly enjoy channeling my inner attack dog and going after that sucker until it pops! Just see for yourself…
Does your dog love or loathe balloons?
You may have caught my post last month on the saga that is the Dachshund Life Struggle. And if you follow along with me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, then likely you may have already seen many of the Dachshund Life Struggles.
Being a Dachshund is so-dang-hard that you didn’t think it would end right there now did you? No, the struggle continues – and something tells me there are even more to come!
P.S. This one required a video to go along with it, and you can check that out on my youtube channel.
In case you missed last month’s struggles, be sure to check them all out on my blog. You can keep following along with me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to see more #dachshundlifestruggle and if you’ve got a struggle to add be sure to let me know!
P.S. Don’t forget to share my struggles with all your friends…..we have to spread the word about how hard it is to be a dachshund these days!
Woohoo! Snow!
Yeah, that may not be the typical reaction that all northerners like me have when the sky dumps a big old pile of snow in your backyard. Especially when it’s almost March and the feeling that Spring can’t come soon enough is an epidemic.
But you know what, I really do love the snow.
The dashing part is especially fun! I like to pretend I’m being chased by a pack of wild wolves, only I’m so much faster than them that there is no way they can ever catch me. Hopefully I’ll never actually have to live in that moment, but just in case I’ll keep practicing.
And for those pups out there that don’t like to “blaze their own trail” in the snow, I’ve got news for you, you better start practicing, because you never know when those wolves are going to come out of nowhere!
I’m actually such an expert at blazing trails in the snow that you can hardly tell when I need to take a break to make some yellow snow.
Those wolves will never see it coming when they slip in my icy patch of yellow snow!
Always one step ahead. *wink*
So yeah…..there was that one time way back when that I got stuck underneath a shed in the Pocono Mountains.
Full disclosure here though, I MAY have been purposely under there in the pursuit of a rodent. And “stuck” might be a bit of a generous term when you consider the fact that I really didn’t want to come out from under the shed….I mean who else was going to get that rodent out from under there?
Don’t worry though, I eventually got “un-stuck”…..well mostly I just came out because it was time for my dinner!
Read all about my adventures under a shed from 2011 on my blog.
Has your dog ever gotten stuck under something it shouldn’t have?
It’s been a few years since I’ve set paw on the airport runway, but just after Christmas I decided it was high time I took to the sky once again.
Last time I took to the air (my very first time in fact), I was just a passenger, but this time I figured – why not just fly the plane myself?
After all, if anything were to go wrong – all I had to do was stick my head out the window, since I have my own awesome ear-flapping propellers!
After running through my safety checklist I was ready to load up my passengers and take to the air!
And incase you are wondering, I’m very thorough when it comes to safety.
I even radioed in to the control tower to make sure my plane was stocked with extra cookies – in the event that we had to make an emergency landing on a desert island somewhere. One can never be too prepared.
But, just as I radioed control – they reminded me that I did not in fact have my pilots license and piloting the plane wouldn’t be a great idea. Dang.
To be fair, they did have a point. So I popped into the backseat with mom and readied myself for takeoff.
I have to admit, it’s much more fun to be a passenger then having the responsibility of piloting the plane myself. And I’m sure everyone else was relieved to have an experienced pilot taking us for a ride.
Raise of paws, who thinks I should take my pilot’s license next year? *wink*
How do you think your dog would react during a plane ride? Would they sit back and relax, or try to hang their head out the window? Do tell!
Just after Christmas I went on a fun little excursion to the playground with my family. Who knew playing on the swing set and slides would be so much fun?
I’m already campaigning to add a swing set to my own backyard!
Has your dog ever been to the playground? Did he enjoy playing around as much as I did?

My pal Cricket and I have been friends for a very long time. Cricket it is one of those very special cats that is very tolerant of EVERYTHING. In fact, dare I say she’s more like a dog than a cat?
Case in point, when I was just a pup Cricket used to wrestle with me…..and being the sweetheart that she is, she let me win too…
Love ya Cricket, thanks for teaching me how to wrestle!
Ever since I was 8 weeks old my buddy Trooper has been the dog I looked up to. He came to the shop with me everyday, where he was in charge of “training” me for the first year or so of my life. I like to think that I got my sassiness from Trooper himself, and I’m pretty sure these videos of a young puppy Trooper (before I knew him) hanging out at the shop totally prove my point!
P.S. Isn’t it amazing how much lighter Trooper’s coat was when he was a puppy? Now everyone just thinks he’s really old with his mostly black coat with bits of gray. (he’s only 7)
